South and South-West China Golf tours
Hainan Island are 20 golf courses. 6 in Sanya, 5 in Haikou, 1 in
Wenchang, 2 in Boao Qionghai, 3 in Xinglong Wanning, 1 in Dingan, 1 in
Chengmai, 1 in Baoting, 7 of them situated within only 1-hour drive from
Sanya downtown. The golf courses are designed in various styles, besides,
high challenges of the course and lovely views along the journey will
bring you fantastic feelings, for which you will never get bored. Sanya,
good as it is talked, is an all-weather paradise for golf goers.
Yalong Bay Golf Club situated in the southernmost part of Hainan Island, is one of the masterpieces by the famous American golf course architect Mr. Robert Trent Jones Jr. in China. It is merely 30 minutes from the international airport and minus 30 minutes from downtown of Sanya. The course is an international standard coastal vacation championship course bathed in the tropical sunshine and sea breezes and deemed as a reputable vacation heaven for the golfers. The course is an 18-hole, par 72, 7189 yard tournament-quality course with 120, 000 square meters' man-made lake and 98 bunkers. It is known that the course is in great shape and the caddies first rate, friendly and efficient. The course, designed in the shape of a dragon's claw, is surrounded by stunning mountains and the South China Sea all make this a picture of tranquility.
Sun Valley Sanya Golf Resort is the southernmost part of Hainan Island, with breathtaking scenery and rich natural resources. It is only 15 minutes' drive from downtown Sanya and 25 minutes from Phoenix International Airport. The course is situated beside the Hongxia Mountain in Yalong Bay National Resort and covers a total area of 340,000 square meters. Sanya is the only seashore city of the tropical zone in China with a charming and comfortable weather. The course is shaped by the world famous golf design company JMP and the clubhouse by KTGY of Thailand. Situated close to the mountain ridges and valley with a short distance to the Yalong Bay coastline, it is a 27-hole course with fairways, bunkers and lush vegetation.
Yunnan Kunming Spring City Golf Course enjoys great recognition in golf circles in Asia. The US Golf Digest ranked it the No.1 Golf Course in China while Golf Digest Hong Kong listed it among the Top 10 Golf Courses in China and Hong Kong. The latter also voted Spring City as the Best Maintenance Golf Course and named Holes No. 5 and 7 of the Lake Course as Signature Holes. For the fifth consecutive year, the resort was named My Favorite Golf Club by the China Golf Magazine. Golf course is a 60m, 36hole, par 72 that measure 7453/7204 yards.
Lijiang Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Golf
Club is located at an altitude of 3,100
meters. It sets up a world record for its length totaling 8,548 yards with
18 holes par 72 in a place of thin air and light centrifugal force. It is
the only snowy mountain golf course in Asia. The course has ingenious
layout with different natural landscape between the front nine and the
back nine. The clubhouse and villa are constructed in a European-American
style which is full of nature. Golfers will relaxed and comfortable when
play in such a Shangri-la course. Situated in Ganhaizi at the eastern foot
of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in Lijiang, this golf course was open to the
public in October 2001. Thanks to its favorable location, unique scenic
spots and historical sites, first-class design, construction and
administration of the club, it will become one of the golf courses with
special features in China.
Lijiang Waterville Lakefront International Golf Club is located at the foot of Mount Wenbi and is only 8 km from the Ancient Town of Lijiang. Winding along Wenbihai Lake , with Yulong Snow Mountain in the background, the golf course features beautiful natural views from a hill top and the surrounding lake. The new Yulong County is located to the east, Mount Wenbi to the south, Yulong Snow Mountain and Lijiang Ancient Town to the north, a Naxi village to the west, and the pristine Wenbihai Lake centered in the middle of the property.
Dali Stone Mountain Golf Club is the first-and currently the only-golf course in Dali. Situated to the right of Dali's famous Three Pagodas and Chongsheng Temple , the Club faces Lake Erhai , with its back to the Cangshan Mountains . It is a few short minutes from Dali Ancient City and a 30 minute drive to Dali International Airport . The Club's surroundings are characterized by stunning scenery and a pristine environment.
Guilin Landscape Golf Club Located in the Yaoshan Natural Scenic Zone, the Guilin Landscape Golf Club is about six km from Guilin City and covers an area of 1.2 million sq m. The golf course borders the Prince Jingjiang's Mausoleum on the left, and is surrounded by mountains and includes lakes. It boasts picturesque scenery.
