Traveling deep into the mountain
area of Guizhou, a province tucked away in Southwest China, we will
explore traditional ethnic minority villages inhabited by Miao and Dong
groups, and travel further to meet the enigmatic Gejia people, who are
unfamiliar to even the (Han) Chinese. We will travel from one village to
another, meeting colorfully dressed ethnic minority people selling goods
in the markets, making tofu or cultivating rice in their fields. If we
are lucky, we might chance upon one of their vibrant festivals, which
are held throughout the lunar calendar. This trip offers a unique
opportunity to spend time in one of China's most isolated regions,
appreciating ancient architectural styles and local customs of the
ethnic minorities, while at the same time enjoying the unspoiled beauty
of its mountains and valleys.
Guilin-Yangshuo-Longsheng-Zhaoxing-Kaili
Day by day
itinerary
Day1, Guilin,Yangshuo
Our guide will meet you at the
guilin airport where will transfer to your hotel in Yangshuo of Guilin.
The rest of the day will be left open for you to view the pulchritude
landscape around yangshuo.
Day2, Yangshuo
After breakfast,we will drive
crossing throught the countryside of Yangshuo to visit some of the
villages around.And afternoon we will make a boat tour on the Li
river.
Day3,
Yangshuo,Longsheng,Chengyang
In the morning we drive to
Longsheng,to view the rice terraces there,and we will hike around
Longji,visit some villages as Ping'an,Jinking,Dazhai,and after lunch we
will drive to Chengyang,a quaint little village with one of the largest
Fengyuqiao(Rain and wind Bridge) in the region. Here we will explore the
villages on foot, visiting lively markets and hillside farms.
Day4, Chengyang,Zhaoxing
Chengyang to Zhaoxing is a
beautiful drive along the road.Arrival Zhaoxing,chinckin your guest
house,the rest of the day will left open,you can walk through the
largest Dong village in the world.
Day5, Zhaoxing,
Teday we will do a hike around the
Dong village.
Day6, Zhaoxing,Liping,Longli
ancient town(Jinping)
After breakfast we will drive to
Longli ancient town(in Jinping county)and pass by Liping.Longli town has
been build at year of 1385,it is 600 years old.The town was build for
military base use.
Day7,
Longli,Liping,Bazhai,Darong(Xinzhai Yao people),Rongjiang
Teday we will drive pass through
the countryside of Liping county,and will stay at Rongjiang town for
overnight.
Day8, Rongjiang,Pingzhai(Shui
people),Taojiang(minorty area),Leishan
Morning drive to Pingzhai,a Shui
people's village,after that will continue drive to Taojiang
town.And we will stop at Leishan for over night.
Day9, Leishan,Kaili,Matang(Gejia
people)
After breafast we will drive to
Kaili,first chickin your hotel,after lunch will drive 30km to a village
called Matang,which is home to the Gejia,a group that has been
identified by the goverment as belonging to the Miao minorty.The
Gejia,who have different customs,dress and language,aren't particuarly
happy about this classification and nor for that matter,are the Miao.And
we will drive back to your hotel in Kaili in the afternoon.
Day10,Kaili,Train for
Guiyang
Catch the morning train for
Guiyang.We will chickin a hotel for a rest,after that our guide will
send you to airport for you to catch flght back home.
